Just got the time to do this months later . - 06.21.18
It's so special that I just want to remember the days. It was my first time traveling alone well, the "alone" didn't last long when I met friends. I can't consider that an alone trip already right? though, sometimes it still is.
Was it worth it? Yes.
Will I do it again? Yes.
People might really felt bad after the cancelled show but how will it be bad when it was worth it, when I got a great time in there.
I'm so lost with words on how was my experience.
One thing is for sure, I love Jakarta even without experiencing all of it and I love that trip.
I can't even choose one photo to upload just to reminisce and let anyone know that I really had a great time in there most especially with friends.
Fingers crossed for hopefully lots of travel this year.
As cliché as it is,
we travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us.
It's been a month now since we saw LANY and thankful for our internet that's so slow that I was able to finish this video.
From the photo above, you might ask me how did it happen that I was able to capture nice photos and to make a very nice video, I used my Canon 600D with a 55-250mm lens.
My original plan was to make all 21 minutes video to make it 4 - 8 minutes and I'll just use one song maybe "Super Far" or any other song but upon editing, I just decided to make a snippet of each song that I was able to capture since every footage is so good even you can't barely hear Paul singing but lets be honest that I got hq vids.
Unfrtunately, some parts are cut because at some point I do click it for a photo in a middle of recording which it will be stop in a few sec while saving the photo.
I'm happy that I brought my DSLR that day and I'm so satisfied with this video. :)
Just like anyone in the interwebs, I want to do collaboration but since I'm not a huge person online it's impossible. I do get random message about surveys and nonessential ones, though.
I do talk to people online most especially if you don't creep me out. I tried to be nice since there are few people appreciating my photographs on Tumblr.
Christian of lendmeyourunderbelly messaged me about his project and gave me links on what was it all about.
To be honest I was hesitant at first but I was able to understand it more when I viewed it in a computer. Basically he was collecting a 1 minute video of anything that will fulfill every minute for one whole 24 hours and he was doing different background music for each video.
I started to wonder what will be interesting to document from my daily life and we exchange message he told me that it's not necessary to be a new one just a video that is one minute. Upon understanding the concept, I tried to look on my phone a one minute video that I have and he also put a list of available minutes to know what is it still available and for people who will start to contribute.
He said that it started as a personal project but he realized that he also want to see a different point of view so he started to ask people to contribute.
I found 2 videos I took in LA Union and I'm glad that the time of that videos are still available. I sent it to him and just a few days later he send me a link and it's already up on his YouTube and Tumblr.
He told me that I can still send him some more so I'll probably check his link of time availability since I still want to contribute.
I'm looking forward for his project to be done since it will be sick! Just imagine having a collection of a 24 hours video from different places. Isn't that amazing?
Here's the finish product of our collaboration. Naks. lol
My first ever collab from someone in the Internet.
I was surprised that he did also put the link of this blog!
Thank you, Christian! Will really try to send you some more soon. :) If you want to know more about it and maybe you want to contribute to this amazing project, you can check it on "A Soundtrack for Every Minute".
After making the Singapore and Kuala Lumpur video that was close to 20 minutes, I told myself that I will try to summarize it more like what I usually see on YouTube. I want to accomplish something shorter but not lacking which is very impossible since I want to share more.
It's really hard to commit on taking videos than pictures when you also want to enjoy the trip or just be as lazy as we were when on vacation. Everything might be worth it to be documented but not everything is shareable worldwide most especially if everyone will totally not get the humor.
It took me almost 2 months finishing this up but it also end up being a short one. I got lots of footage from my GoPro but our craziness is not worth sharing. Lol
I think it took me months to do this because it didn't end well. Yes, our trip didn't end on a very high note to the point that Gem don't want to give La Union another try. Same as my blog post they are on drafts for so long now that I just decided to finally fix it and publish just this month.
I also want to do more for this video so it's a bit disappointing on my part on not documenting worthy stuff. I just realized too that I don't have video when we were in Bahay na Bato! Makes me want to travel again and do well on documentation most especially that I've been watching vlogs. It also makes me crave for a new point and shoot! it's a bit bad right? Hahaha. 'Coz I can't steady my GoPro everytime maybe I need a better tripod or grip? Idk.
Though I want it to be different, I use "Hard Times" since that was the song that I was listening that time, it's stuck in my head and I can just dance and cry while on this trip and even after (After Laughter). Lol
Despite of the rants and disappointments can I just say that I love the part where I was able to just put up my GoPro and just capture the beach and us in it. I love that so much but that's the only sunset we experienced in La Union. Haha I hate that sun is always hiding when I go on vacation. I've been looking forward to sunset photos!
This really makes me crave more traveling and hopefully do better on documentation.
My photos are already on queue too on my Tumblr until maybe end of the year. Haha. Too much photos! That's when I really get high, photos over videos everytime since I think it's more challenging though the hype on each is different and I enjoy both.
Hopefully next travel video will be better and less disappointment that will not reach 2 months in the making. See even this post, excitement is missing but I'm willing to give La Union another try. :)
I don't want to beat my 19 minutes video ever, as in never again but I almost did one. Who knows maybe next time when I had a longer vacation than 5 days or to lessen it when I learned to let go some pictures and video clips.
This was not hard as making the SG video since this is my favorite. The arrangement of events is as fresh as like it just happened yesterday.
The thing is I got more video from Batu Caves, Ramaya Cave and Petronas that's why I almost beat the 19 minutes of the SG video.
The music was just on the spot because I know what I want to use like Slowtown since it felt like we are always on the rush most especially during Singapore and I Miss You because the chorus fits in. The other songs was just picked randomly but I already made a Playlist prior on making the 2 video. Surprisingly, the song on the SG as well as the KL fit perfectly and some lyrics fell on a perfect scenario/picture. I love it.
I really don't know if it's possible for me to shortened both video since I also want to make a summary for myself so when I want to go back to those trip I'll just hit play than digging on my hard drive. Even there will be just handful of people who will patiently watch the whole thing.
I also included some street photos by Gem as a product of her bad mood and I became so proud with her shots. Haha.
Good thing that I got an iPhone to use as an extra device to capture moments and the apps such as Boomerang and Hyperlapse as well as the feature of the camera which was the slow-motion that I just used for the first time and even the video.
Not sorry for the too much pictures since we do make sure that everything wasn't the same. Haha. And I hope we left them a lesson to never be afraid to make wacky on pictures. That's what we always do and it's fun. More photos more fun so be sure to have huge memory for photos and videos because it's fun, really.
Upon completing this video, I felt sad that Jesse wasn't able to join us during this trip I wish he was with us so he will be included not just on photos but on the videos that I made and to memories, of course.
I wish I'll be able to steady the GoPro next time so it will not be as shaky as it is most times. Haha. Believe me, I myself experience the dizziness while watching because I do watch my videos on repeat for weeks. I've done handful of videos but still, I never learned. Haha. Next time which I don't know when. Haha
Kuala Lumpur is really my favorite even for a short while, it so good to experience a strange place with just my own research.
No plans yet but I can't wait for the new places to explore this year.
Youtube muted my video because of copyright on the music I used so I tried Vimeo but unfortunately I can't put it here directly so I'll just put the link
All of my post about the SG-KL trip was posted now but I haven't fix the photos for my Tumblr but I will soon when I'm done with the KL video.
This is the hardest video to make to be honest. I got a lot of photos from 4 iPhones, GoPro and my DSLR not to mention all the other photos from Gem that I haven't get.
One more reason that this is the hardest was because when we got back it was the holiday season and we have to be here and there for family reunions to maximizing the vacations of the kids. Usually when I get back from vacation, I give time to unpack my things, tidy my room up and then fix the photos/videos from the trip but this time it was different, it took me so long.
I regret just earlier last week on not buying extra battery for the GoPro or a least a trusty power bank to re-charge it. I only had a few videos that's why I included bunch of photos on this video when I really prefer to do a full-length-just-video like my Romblon trip. Not to mention I was really torn which to prioritize with the GoPro and the SLR since I haven't shoot for a while with the SLR and of course for the sake of Tumblr but seriously, I miss using it manually. I wasn't even satisfied at some point with the photos but its all good since I don't have decent photos for a while and I was in a new place why not capture everything I can.
The GoPro was just there waiting for me to use her but at some point it doesn't even feel right to use it maybe one major reason why I didn't prioritize using it.
I had a struggle doing this video that I don't want to share it I just want to keep the experience with me and let myself absorb that this year-planned-trip was already over. I really had fun with friends out there but I think one thing that lacking was we weren't able to sit down and just had a good time with just talking with beers but doing the scheduled activities wasn't bad at all. It was tiring with all the walking but I wish we were able to not had a good sleep and just be awake all night.
With all the available pictures, I don't know what to put in the video. Mostly taken with an iPhone and knowing the quality it doesn't pass my standards but thankful for front cameras, I was able to join the pictures when I was mostly the one behind it.
This is my longest video to date and I still got struggles because when I was making videos, I want to share everything although the walking from here to there are not included but still I wish I was able to share what I want to send to all the people who will patiently going to watch the 19 minutes video.
I also got some struggle on choosing the songs that I'll use since I want to put my personality on my videos and luckily it hit me. 2 weeks before completing this, it was the first time I checked my GoPro and I don't have any idea on how will I do this video since I can't envision what I want to do. The struggle is real. Haha.
The original plan was to make a SG-KL video but due to the time of this video I decided to separate the KL and hopefully when I start that later I will not have the same struggle but I was just fixing the pictures earlier I think I still want to include everything.
I just have to speed up the some video clips even it will make you dizzy but still I hope you understand. Its not as easy as doing a slideshow most especially when I'm trying to send a message or I want to make you experience what we saw and where we went.
Whatever on how people will analyze the video I just did that for the satisfaction of myself and hopefully my friends liked it. Anyways, I believe there will be just handful of people who will make it to the last millisecond of this video.
photos from me or from friends ... more photos on my Tumblr soon My Photographs: Singapore
This video also means I'm sending you a message to book that trip and enjoy
It's been my third time at Pico de Loro this year and finally, I can shoot underwater and beach waves with my Go Pro.
Same with the videos that I made this year, I'm starting to just use videos instead of having photos. Although pictures can say a different story but you can already check that on my Tumblr and videos tell a lot more point of view and it serve a little bit of closer to what it is.
Upon having some moments at the beach during this overnight trip with family, I realized that I'm so blessed to be able to travel once in a while and I was able to experience the different beaches in this country. I've been in Boracay (2011), Palawan (2014 2015) and recently to Romblon (2016) and being a beach addict, I realized their differences and I fell in love with the idea of beach again even at some point it is scary because you don't know what is out there in the open sea.
It was a very relaxing trip but when we are about to leave, I realized that at some point, I don't want to go back in there. Yes, it was very relaxing and its an easy way to escape but the other things doesn't change.
It was a very good privilege to experience Pico de Loro but I think I'm not seeing myself to be back there anytime soon even the kids love the place because the traveler in me is telling me to explore more.
I don't usually blog about personal stuff but all of my
pictures and this video are up or still on queue on my Tumblr as of posting this.
My cousin, Alaine doesn't want some formal party and her
reason was because she already experienced being glam up during her time in
high school so she just want simple celebration.
They planned to have a overnight stay in Tagaytay.
Cousin time! Yay!
They fetch me while they're on their way to Tagaytay in
Parañaque because that was the day we arrived from Romblon. Nothing beats the
feeling of being away from family then you will be spending time with them out
of town after being gone for a while. Love it.
So here's the video I made from our stay in Tagaytay and
just like my Romblon video, I don't want to us pictures since I can transfer
all of my videos now. Alaine wasn't in the video all the time it looks like a
children swimming party. Haha. But I used a song of All Time Low and You Me At
Six since she loves listening to them that time or maybe until now. Haha.
You can check my day-to-day blog and more photos of my Romblon trip on the links above.
Here's a video that I made from that trip and a little story while making it was, I'm trying to lessen the minutes since most of my previous videos are up to 10-12 minutes but I really want to use a song from Tonight Alive (Limitless) that makes me convinced to go on this trip. It's okay for me to cut the few parts but JV was making faces that makes me laugh because I really don't know that and I want to include that. Haha
On the other side, I don't want to cut a song on the end just like what happened to my Palawan video so I extended it to be perfect for 4 songs. I also didn't use any photos this time unlike the last time because I was able to transfer the videos from the GoPro to the iPad unlike on its previous version, when it used to asked if I want to download a low/high resolution of videos.
I'm happy with the outcome but I think it is still too long. Haha but I really want to show you how was the view on the boat trip and while on the beach and the travel on the road.
Since I didn't include photos, the DSLR photos are just on my Tumblr(still on queue as of posting this). How I wish I was able to bring the GoPro while we hang out by the beach that time but I was charging it.
Can't wait for new adventures and new places to see.

Despite of the bad flow of the program the fireworks made it all better.
I just turn on my GoPro and to my surprise I captured the start of the fireworks though the end was not captured perfectly I'm still happy about this. Its been a month already and here I am still waiting for another championship shirt and hopefully we can still score the one from Unibersidad. LOL
I'm going to be honest that I've been watching this video
everyday and let's not just mention how many times. Haha
I can't say how many reasons why I do watch it again and
again but here are 10 reasons in no particular order:
1) TERRENCE BILL IS SO
TALKATIVE. If you know him when he was still in collegiate, this guy always
have just a few words when people interviewed him or when fans talk to him.
2)
HE WAS LAUGHING AND SMILING A LOT. Dude, seriously if you were able to have a
picture of him taken during UAAP days, you will never have a smiling TR on your
picture. A friend even ask him to smile on one picture for him to smile. Haha.
3)
ENGLISH! but he really prefers tagalog. (well, most of us here does).
4) HIS
CHOICE OF MUSIC. I know we listen to different kind of genre and I know most
guys do listen to RnB/rap music but I never saw Jolina Magdangal coming to the
picture. I do have an idea that he loves to listen to OPM but I never saw the
90's vibe. Ever. I'm sure everyone was so surprised (well, he just revealed it
on 3x3).
5) FOCUS. The cameraman focus on TR too much! I can see his pores and
the muscle on his face says a lot.
6) I think he will be a nice road trip buddy
just be sure he will wear seatbelt. Haha.
7) HE JUST WOKE UP.
8) When we will pass
on the same area where he started playing Tameme, I will remember him. Haha
9)
the way he practice his dribbling skills. Wow.
10) HE RAP and SANG A BIT. Also,
when he said "oh. damn"
I have a soft spot for this guy ever since.
Terrence, if you want to put color on your hair just tell
me I'll make it green. Hehe.
I'm just so proud of him and he doesn't have any idea about
it.
"Maybe more people see me but I don't think more
people like me, the way I play because I think those people who knows
basketball they will not judge you the way you play. Sometimes the one who
doesn't know how to play it or doesn't put a love on a basketball are the one
who say something bad to you.
The problem in this kind of venue / standing are the tall people. Lol
Wow! What a chill set as chill as their album. So much fun!
Sydney interacts with the crowd the whole set and that's a huge plus!
Some people expected more but they only released one album yet so it's expected that most of it will just be played plus if there will be cover songs.
They're still a young band, they're so humble and I hope they will stay like that.
It's so cute that they are touring with the whole family, well Echosmith consist of 4 siblings and the crew includes their mom and dad and the fans love them too! So cool.
They're one of to-go-see-live band because it will be worth it.
So many fun part like when Sydney asked to stop before the 2nd stanza of Bright because she forgot the lyrics and asked the fans on what was it and when she asked the 4 security to dance on stage. (videos below)
I just can't believe that their too young and they are already doing show around the globe.
So a week before this trip, we were at Don Day because Lhea was here in Manila for a few days before she goes back to Palawan and Keith brought his car that day and we are talking about why Lhea is here in Manila and knowing her, for sure there are so many scheduled on meeting her friends.
The week seems too long before the weekend and we are keeping each other updated but mostly we are waiting for the decision of Keith because the original plan was Tagaytay/Batangas and its on the opposite way to Laguna, we said that its okay if we just go to Laguna. Since the babes are already ready, we were just waiting for the decision of Keith so we know what to bring and because we also need his car for this trip.
You wouldn't believe this but it was Thursday and we are still waiting for the answer and we are already asking him through our facebook group chat and he said "you will know, tomorrow" okay. Friday, we are waiting and its almost 9PM and still no answer and Keith said, "you will know, tomorrow" which was Saturday and we were supposed to know so Lhea and I will be able to prepare our things. I already said to the babes that if our road trip plan will not push through we can just meet for dinner. It was about 3PM when Keith said "okay we're going, what's your plan?" and I called him and told our plan he said "okay!" (In Keith's language "okay! Sige! Text text na lang) and I already inform the babes/chikababes.
Gem and I met at 7PM and we waited for Keith and Lhea until past 11PM. Gem and I regret of killing some hours doing nothing while waiting :/
Our plan was to stay at Gem's place then we can hit the road by 5 or 6 in the morning. We left Gem's place by 7AM. Haha.
Originally, we are just going to Matabungkay but Gem said the place is not nice anymore so we search for some beach on the area of Batangas and we found another one in Bauan near Batangas Port. Unfortunately, due to the typhoon (according to the one Lhea talked to when we are already near the place) the Coast Guard ordered them not to let their guests to swim or use the boat because of the current. That was our Plan A, Plan B was to check another resort in the area but we thought if the Coast Guard ordered one resort then every resort should know that. We end up on the original plan and became our Plan C, we went to Tagaytay. Though the weather was pretty nice that day and we didn't experience rain.
It was a long ride and I don't want to pissed off Keith because I know how sensitive some drivers are and he was so quiet the whole trip going to Tagaytay so we stayed quiet for a while. Its a bit weird when you don't know where are you headed but at the same point, you just want to have fun with your company or maybe if you're alone, listen to some good music.
We arrived in Tagaytay just before lunch and I told them we can eat at Bulalo Point but they want to eat at Leslie's. The service at Leslie's are disappointing most especially if its a weekend or a holiday when there's a waiting list before you can get a table then the serving of food is another story as well as asking for a refill of water but thankful for a nice restroom.
After lunch, we drove to picnic grove because we want to spend more time with each other and its still early to go back to Manila. We killed some time at picnic grove looking at families, kids who are enjoying flying kites and watching people throws 400 pesos for a short but high enough for a zip-line.
We always talk whatever things and I honestly forgot what were the topic when we are on picnic grove. Oh wait, we took a nap that's why we didn't have a conversation. Haha. Then I woke up when Keith texted me asking where are we because he was busy playing and charging his phone. I asked him to buy water and he even bought a pink cotton candy and then when we reached our table he said "open the popcorn" and we're like "huh? Popcorn?" He just called a cotton candy a popcorn. Haha.
~
Then it was time to leave. It was a bit traffic on our way to Sta. Rosa but good thing it was just at the fruit stands because we are almost running out of gas. On our way to Eton exit, we passed by at the Nike Factory Outlet and some part of us are sad on just passing by the store but at least I/we didn't bought anything although I can feel that there's an FEU jacket there that's half the price. Next time.
We were on SLEX when Keith said "wait I'll make a stop over I need to attack". I thought it was some code for restroom but NO, HE WAS TELLING US THAT HE NEED TO PLAY COC! Haha.
We roam around the place and we found a mini version of a Nike Factory Outlet but nothing interesting there. Then we started to complain that he should play when we are still on the area of the Nike Factory Outlet so we can check it. I just make a trip to the restroom and change my shirt (and suddenly, I remember Sam and Vail when they travel).
After the COC break of Keith, we're back on the road and I was silently appreciating the beautiful sunset sky while they sing-along to California King Bed. After that, I asked them if they want some Eraserheads.
We're already in Manila when someone was calling Keith and he was a bit upset because he don't want to bring a car on their outing the next day and after talking on the phone, he confess that some of his co-workers are teasing him with this girl and the Babes became over protective. ;)
Sorry Keith. Haha. He told us the story that the girl liked him but she have a boyfriend and sorry girl, bro was so honest to us that he doesn't like you. We thought that his co-workers are so into this set up where the girl will be riding with Keith alone and blah blah and we are so game to leave something girl stuff so the girl will have a hint. I'm so game to leave one of my lipstick and Gem is already planning on leaving her two-piece-swimwear. Haha So far, we haven't heard how was the outing but we told him that the chikababes are just a text away if he needs an emergency call. Haha.
It was bitter sweet that we are already on Shaw when we are having this kind of conversation. Imagine we've been on the road for almost 12 hours and we are about to separate ways when a nice topic came out. The chikababes are complaining but we know that it was always like that.
Gem's place was in Paranaque but she decided (or it was Keith) haha that she should still come to us because she will miss something and yes, if we dropped her at Bicutan she will never know about the girl.
We are already near Cubao when we said we are hungry and I think I was the one who ask "let's have dinner?" and everyone was still game but first things first, Keith need some alone time at their restroom. After their place, we just walked to Araneta and look for a place to have dinner and as usual, we started at KFC but it was full, next stop was BonChon but it was also full, we passed by Army Navy with so many vacant tables but Keith doesn't like there and he was starting to suggest Seafood Island! Haha but we settled at Wendy's. Some usual stuff that we do after watching a game, walk around while looking for a place to eat.
Just a mini story, (I'm not sure if I already wrote this before but whatever) after watching a game in MOA Arena we are looking for a place to eat and if you're familiar with MOA, BonChon was just in front but someone will say "BonChon again?" Then we will look for another place and until we reached the sea side of MOA then we just went back in front and we end up eating at BonChon. It never get old. :D
Anyway, so we ended our first non-basketball-related stuff over dinner just like the usual. So much love for the three of them and I know all of us had fun though some original plans were busted we were thankful that we had a safe trip.
We are still convincing Keith for a Palawan trip since he haven't been to El Nido and I still need an island hopping but he was scheduled for leave at work to visit his sister in Thailand and I think he doesn't have more leave left. Next time.
Wow. I never had a long post for a while. I just really want to say even the smallest detail because it was such a memorable trip and it made my heart so happy. I don't think anyone will listen to this kind of story but if you are reading this until this last paragraph, thank you! Hopefully, we will be able to do this again this year with a concrete plan.
Still, our schedules will be as flexible as possible when it comes to FEU games (UAAP). More Araneta games than MOA please!
Ps. I put my GoPro on video mode when we're on the road and the conversations are insane! The reason why I can't move on from this trip but I'm slowly moving on. Haha. I'll try to edit a video soon.
My first day of the year was mostly spent in bed sleeping and the other hours was spent catching up on Once Upon a Time. While I spent the next day with the family and we attended a 35th wedding anniversary in Cavite.
I'm really looking forward to an out of town trip because I can use my cameras but for the last few month I was so busy with my work life that I haven't shoot any interesting stuff. The last time I used my DSLR was when we visited Pico de Loro last November and I haven't fix those pictures so I can post it on Tumblr though the iPad is saving my Tumblr at some point. (My Photographs)
So the trip to Cavite was a bit exciting because I can dress up, wear girly stuff and be a girl (HAHA) and my cameras have a work to do but I'm on experiment. Recently, I'm just trying to bring my GoPro on the daily basis of life because at some point I want to get rid of my OCness when in comes to photos. I get OC when the photo was not clearly shot most especially with the detailed part, the sharpness, the lightning, the angle, and a lot more. Once in a while, I love blurred ones and now I'm loving the different point of view by using the GoPro.
I was listening on my iPod during road-trips and Hello Cold World by Paramore played and I just thought that it will be a perfect song for what I'm seeing right at that moment so I grab the GoPro, hit repeat button and started filming then hit stop when the song ended. I edited before sleeping that night and YAY!
I love photography and capturing videos as well as editing it but I just do that as a hobby, just because ....
When I was filming it I remembered the video that Paramore did last 2011
I love this and I also love to do something like this. Hopefully, soon. :D
I'm looking forward to capture more videos this year than photos because I can't do that on SLR because of the memory card issue and now with the GoPro I know I can do more videos than before. The only problem was, I can't connect the GoPro to the app on my iPad because of the required iOS and I will not risk updating my iPad just because of that. Thankful that the GoPro app on the iPad Mini 3 of my sister is working so I'll just Airdrop it to mine. Hehe. I'm also planning on getting a mount for DSLR to put it on top. It will be more fun. Hehe.
