Singapore 2025 . May 22 (Day 3)

Woke up at probably 9AM since we still need to take a bath, pack and roam somewhere in Singapore for our last full day. When I got our order last night I asked the reception if we can leave our things in the morning and thankful that there’s a self-bag-storage at the first floor. We maxed our time until check out.

Our itinerary for the day is VivoCity and Sentosa. We don’t have plans for Universal just be there outside. We had time but unfortunately SEA Aquarium was closed and the other attraction feels just a little too far from our location and we don’t want to rush things so just stayed at VivoCity. We decided to wear a matching clothes today that I don’t honestly know how to style it since it looks a little big for me. My feet are sore and developing a blister so I decided to break in my newly bought Asics.

We went back to get our bags by 5PM and we just decided to go and wait at JEWEL since there’s things you can do there. Found my favorite store, Donki and shop for some chocolates which was out of the plan and a little more when my mom told me that there was a mini grocery at the basement. Lol I was thinking of buying Irvins but upon checking Lazada, it’s cheaper so I just bought the once that is not available online. Saving myself from carrying more stuff when we are already over baggage.

We transferred at Terminal 4 before 10PM and we still have to weigh in and re-arrange our bags after that last minute shopping.

After almost an hour, we were done with re-arranging our stuff and we dropped our luggages and then security which was smooth process honestly.

We just spend the cash left on us on the stores after security.

Waited and had some drinks at CBTL since our flight is at 2AM.

Wasn’t able to sleep properly on the plane back home and still no window seat for me for this flight. We are back in Manila by 5:30AM and we were home by 8AM and I’m craving for some Tapsilog for breakfast. Lol

Till next time, Singapore.

LADY GAGA in SINGAPORE 2025

Lady Gaga in Singapore

March 18, 2025 - I remembered about the pre-sale, checked the website and I’m in line for 1,240,575 at 10:45AM. Messaged my sister and she totally forgot and she’s the one who really want to watch it. At almost 1PM most slots allotted for the pre-sale are sold out and my sister is losing hope and I told her that pre-sale have limited available since it’s pre-sale and general selling will be on March 21st. We let go of the idea but I’m planning to book on Live Nation pre-sale by  March 20.

March 19, 2025 - Klook pre-sale a bundle with hotel accommodation for a night. I don’t think it’s worth it as well as since we are just aiming the cheapest ticket and with hotel accommodation in a 4 star hotel and a CAT8 ticket, I think that expensive might as well spend some more on ticket then book a room. She send me a screenshot that she’s in line at 4,707 at 10AM. I thought she will let this go but no. Haha she finished booking at 10:09AM. I’m going to book plane tickets today as well. Well, we are going to Singapore in May.

May 21, 2025 - continuation of Singapore day 2

We arrived at the stadium and my sister met her high school classmate where she asked to buy her a merch so we don’t have to line up. After getting the merch we roam a little on the area and then we decided to get inside already when there was still less people.

Our ticket was CAT 8 and since the only reference I can compare that to is The Eras Tour, I can’t believe that I’m in this historical place. Sorry but not really that I was comparing it to The Eras Tour somehow end up asking myself why I didn’t push that through did I really missed that or not really?

The Eras Tour is a little more expensive compared to this one.

Prior to the concert Lady Gaga did Copacabana and they rely on it that it will be the same setlist for Singapore. There was a playlist already on Spotify on what she did at Copacabana and since they speculate that it will be the same for Singapore, I put that playlist on when I got back from Bicol and listened to it even before leaving the house for the flight.

Still regret not seeing her when she first came here in the Philippines but maybe I was busy back then or I just can’t really make it on the date or I can’t afford it. I’m happy to see her now and in Singapore.

Since I got idea already on the setlist since it is what was played on the first 2 nights and I haven’t seen the Copacabana I just depend on the playlist.

It was so cute that people are dressing up for this because back home I will not care to dress up if I’m watching concert.

Concert was fine but once again we are seated with people who are seated most times and when the one in front of me stand up on the first song, I stand up as well for the whole show. Thankful that no one asked me to sit again. My sister is so hesitant to watch concert alone since she is not used to it but since I do it all the time, I don’t care on other people even sometimes I want to do small talk but I’m not that person. Maybe exception if you look nice and not that intimidating. I just mostly care on the concert, what I should film or not and later after the show go out immediately so that I can exit while people are still inside.

I’m typing this weeks later and I haven’t seen the Copacabana that I might play tonight for the feels. That time of the concert felt so quick a song after song until it was the last song when everyone on our area finally stood up.

Almost at the half of the show, I thought my battery was low apparently, it was my phone memory. Thankful that I have an extra phone for the next half of the show. Haha

I enjoyed it really. Sadly I just don't like the stage set up or the idea of her being always inside the stage and not really exposed to the crowd. I know it’s for the video or whatever but I think Lady Gaga can do better stage set up than what she had in Singapore. Read that some people pay much more and mostly they can only see the screen. Hopefully the Mayhem tour will have a different set up than the one we had in Singapore because you pay and you deserve to see the artist more than the huge screen most especially if you are in front.

Somehow thankful that my favorites are not really the type of artist that is as huge as Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga because I mostly enjoyed concert that is not at a stadium. I enjoyed small spaces concert that it makes you connect more to the artist. That is one reason why I haven’t watched anything at Philippine Arena. Billie Eilish is one artist that I love to see again but her tickets are getting expensive too.

Anyway, we got tips on TikTok on alternative than going in the station that was right outside the stadium because it was for sure jam packed and it was and the traffic is also insane that it is impossible to book a ride.

Probably took us 1 hour after concert to finally get back to our hotel. We ordered food via Grab and took a hot shower and sleep.

It was a memorable night and maybe see again Lady Gaga on the Mayhem tour in Asia next year? Haha we’ll see.

Singapore 2025 . May 21 (Day 2)

It was concert day and we checked out on our capsule. We didn’t took a shower that day since we are going to transfer to our hotel that was included on the package of Klook. We checked out a little early so that we can still have time to roam again at Bugis and we still have to drop by Sephora.

Yesterday we came across this sports apparel store with stuff that’s on sale and I made sure that it was really on sale by searching on the internet on what’s the real price. We came back to check on the store again and I was eyeing that Nike Vomero but the sizes that’s included on sale are half size smaller to what my size is. I was okay with not buying but since they are still checking the shoes that caught my sister on, I look on different style that was within the budget I was looking for New Balance but it was still a little pricey even on sale and then the Asics caught my attention and I asked for my size which was available and I settle with it and I’ve been wanting to have a white shoes even it wasn’t practical. Since I’m still in doubt of Onitsuka at least I got the Asics which are under a same company.

We ate at Bugis before heading to our hotel since it’s a little far from the area.

I liked to say that my sister panicked when she booked one from Klook with a hotel. I told her not to go with it since we can have a choice with concert ticket and then find some cheaper accommodation but since she panicked we got the Klook deal with a hotel and she chose Citadines at Science Park. Check in is at 3PM so we had a little time since we check out and I think we maximized that window. Upon arriving at the nearest station of Citadines, we still looked for it and after checking in we unpack and took a bath so we can leave the hotel before 5PM to avoid the traffic rush and since it was our first time in there to get also familiar with the venue.

The concert and the aftermath on another post.

Singapore 2025 . May 20 (Day 1)

This trip was planned 2 months prior to traveling date since the announcement of concert and we depend if we are going to score some tickets. My sister is the one pushed this trip I may be a fan of Lady Gaga but I was 100% sure of not going if I was alone.

I was a little in panic since I thought that this will be treated like The Eras Tour where there will be price increase on the flight and to everything. We tried getting tickets on the pre-sale but wasn’t lucky and my sister is more on panic mode compare to me since they announced that the pre-sale got sold out. I tried to tell her the concept of pre-sale because she thought that everything is sold out. The next day it was Klook package release and that’s when she got tickets and a hotel too.

As soon as she got that I looked for flights since we will also depend on the date that she will be getting. I searched for flight since I thought that plane tickets will increase since tickets are already released. I settled with Jetstar and I haven’t tried it before and it took me couple of times before succeeding since the price are already changing upon payment.

Our flight was 9PM and we will arrived in Singapore between 1AM-2AM. I was thinking of booking an accommodation upon arrival but I’m not sure if we can get to our accommodation when we arrive, I’m not sure on the time of the train or bus and I don’t have time to search since I need to book a place before it increases the price.

So I didn’t get an accommodation upon arrival and I just booked the 20th-21st and our check-in time is 2PM. Changi Airport is also one of the best airport in the world and watching that some backpackers sleep at the airport, I just decided that we will just do that upon arrival. We are doing last minute research about Singapore. I’ve been to Singapore in 2016 and it was my first ever out of the country trip and I can’t remember much since we are depending on Nikka since she was living there at that time.

If only this was very well planned I will suggest that we will go to Malaysia but I think that there’s nothing much in Malaysia as well because we might not climb Batu Caves as well.

So I booked a capsule near Haji Lane and check in is at 2PM. When we arrived since they say that there are different things you can do at Changi and we decided to transfer from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2 and surprisingly you can walk from there to JEWEL. There are already people who were sleeping at the airport and we found a spot near McDonald’s and since it wasn’t 24 hours open, we just slept there and then some time when I woke up it was already open.

We just took our time while eating breakfast and then we just walked to JEWEL after breakfast.

This was a very long day and so are my thoughts.

Thanks to TikTok that I realized that the Rain Vortex in JEWEL isn’t open 24/7. With a very tight schedule told my sister that we should check it already on the day we arrived since I’m not sure if we can still check it out before leaving.

Stores at JEWEL isn’t open except for some coffee shop. We roam around just to check what stores are there then before 10AM we settled to witness the opening of the Rain Vortex and it was pretty.

We still spent some time in there while we plot our next move to Bugis on which line we take and whatsoever when we arrived in Bugis we roam in there for a bit.

I asked if we can do early check in but since it’s fully booked we can’t but we can leave our things in there if we get there early. We already looked for our accommodation by 12noon and there was a common area that we can stay in. The host told us to still roam around the area since Haji Lane is just a few steps away but I’m so sleepy and tired already so I slept there and just wait for 2PM.

Finally after checking in, we rested a little then took a bath and we are out again. That nap while waiting for 2PM helped to make me recharge for the afternoon. Went out before 4PM first stop was Haji Lane then to Marina Bay Sands and see the Merlion since we got nothing to do but my sister isn’t prepared for all the walking. Lol

We somehow talked if she wants to do Cloud Forest or Flower Dome and said no so we didn’t do that. Went back to Bugis after walking around Marina Bay Sands. Told her to buy souvenirs as well since if we transferred to our hotel we may not comeback to Bugis. After buying some we just decided to buy food and eat at our accommodation.

Goodnight for now, Singapore.

Singapore 2016

Youtube muted my video because of copyright on the music I used so I tried Vimeo but unfortunately I can't put it here directly so I'll just put the link

All of my post about the SG-KL trip was posted now but I haven't fix the photos for my Tumblr but I will soon when I'm done with the KL video.

This is the hardest video to make to be honest. I got a lot of photos from 4 iPhones, GoPro and my DSLR not to mention all the other photos from Gem that I haven't get.

One more reason that this is the hardest was because when we got back it was the holiday season and we have to be here and there for family reunions to maximizing the vacations of the kids. Usually when I get back from vacation, I give time to unpack my things, tidy my room up and then fix the photos/videos from the trip but this time it was different, it took me so long.

I regret just earlier last week on not buying extra battery for the GoPro or a least a trusty power bank to re-charge it. I only had a few videos that's why I included bunch of photos on this video when I really prefer to do a full-length-just-video like my Romblon trip. Not to mention I was really torn which to prioritize with the GoPro and the SLR since I haven't shoot for a while with the SLR and of course for the sake of Tumblr but seriously, I miss using it manually. I wasn't even satisfied at some point with the photos but its all good since I don't have decent photos for a while and I was in a new place why not capture everything I can.

The GoPro was just there waiting for me to use her but at some point it doesn't even feel right to use it maybe one major reason why I didn't prioritize using it.

I had a struggle doing this video that I don't want to share it I just want to keep the experience with me and let myself absorb that this year-planned-trip was already over. I really had fun with friends out there but I think one thing that lacking was we weren't able to sit down and just had a good time with just talking with beers but doing the scheduled activities wasn't bad at all. It was tiring with all the walking but I wish we were able to not had a good sleep and just be awake all night.

With all the available pictures, I don't know what to put in the video. Mostly taken with an iPhone and knowing the quality it doesn't pass my standards but thankful for front cameras, I was able to join the pictures when I was mostly the one behind it.

This is my longest video to date and I still got struggles because when I was making videos, I want to share everything although the walking from here to there are not included but still I wish I was able to share what I want to send to all the people who will patiently going to watch the 19 minutes video.

I also got some struggle on choosing the songs that I'll use since I want to put my personality on my videos and luckily it hit me. 2 weeks before completing this, it was the first time I checked my GoPro and I don't have any idea on how will I do this video since I can't envision what I want to do. The struggle is real. Haha.

The original plan was to make a SG-KL video but due to the time of this video I decided to separate the KL and hopefully when I start that later I will not have the same struggle but I was just fixing the pictures earlier I think I still want to include everything.

I just have to speed up the some video clips even it will make you dizzy but still I hope you understand. Its not as easy as doing a slideshow most especially when I'm trying to send a message or I want to make you experience what we saw and where we went.

Whatever on how people will analyze the video I just did that for the satisfaction of myself and hopefully my friends liked it. Anyways, I believe there will be just handful of people who will make it to the last millisecond of this video.

Singapore 2016. Day 3 (Last Day in SG)

December 21 2016

We got tickets already for today since it will be easy to go around knowing what to do and not wasting time on lining up for tickets.

After USS yesterday, we went back to VivoCity where we can already purchase tickets for today. The lady gave us flyers where there's the list of all attractions. There are package where you can choose 3, 5 or if you want all attractions at a discounted price. We can choose 5 or all but we are on limited time so we chose the 3 attractions one is my request which is the S.E.A. Aquarium and we can still choose 2. I don't know what happened on why we choose Madame Tussauds wax figure maybe because less physical activity coming from a very tiring day at USS and saving energy for the rest of the day. For our third, we are thinking of cable car, Tiger Sky Tower and Skyline Luge . To be honest I wasn't game with the Tiger Sky Tower maybe because I also thought that it will be another extreme ride where you will be dropped from gazillion meters. We end up on that or another that needs physical effort but upon purchasing the seller informed us that the Madame Tussauds and Images of Singapore are already 2 attractions we didn't realized that it's "and" not "or" on the flyer. I let them decide for it because I just really wanted the S.E.A. Aquarium and they have decided the S.E.A. Aquarium, Madame Tussauds and Images of Singapore.

Just like yesterday, we were just in time for the opening that we're able to enjoy it with less people.

First, Madame Tussauds. Amazing wax figures. Everything was very detailed the face, teeth, height, hair, accessories, clothing as in everything. Although I expect too many figures but I guess that's okay but I'm looking for Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga. We had fun taking selfies with them and I was amazed when I saw Angelina Jolie then I wondered if she also got the tattoos and she have it! Amazing.

Next, Images of Singapore and we don't know what to expect here. It's also a bit awkward because they really want something else but at the end we were able to enjoy and learn something about Singapore.

Images of Singapore is a must for every tourist. We enjoyed how the host entertained us and how lively they are on their acting. We learned the things that happened on 1940's onward and at the end you will realize that their current status is because of how everything worked out from those years.

It didn't stopped me for thinking about my country. They took years to be where they are right now and the Philippines has been independent for a longer period and still we are left behind. Was it stolen from us? Did we just took a chance for granted? Will I still see what years later for this country on my lifetime? I wish but the biggest factor is the discipline of the people. It's hard to discipline people who have better opinions before analyzing what will be the outcome. It was really an eye opener experience and I'm glad we did it.

Third and last attraction at Sentosa was the S.E.A. Aquarium and the mermaid inside me is so happy to be reunited with all the sea creatures that's in there.

It made me so speechless that I just want to stare at it all my life.

Then we went back to VivoCity for late lunch before heading to Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Good thing there's a shuttle service because it's too hot to walk and I'm tired with all the walking. Haha

Flower Dome was a heaven for photographers. I love to shoot flowers and there's a lot. We were amazed that the whole place was air condition and yes it's for the flowers but with such a huge space to air condition is already a wow for me. The only down side was there was no name tag for every flower. I wish that there are so we will know, like me being crazy over blue flowers and I'm not sure if that's forget-me-not or just another blue flower. I was hoping to see more flowers than what we usualy see but there was no poppy and peonies. Or maybe I just didn't pay too much attention but the whole place was worth the visit.

Cloud Forest just beside Flower Dome and that inside falls, wow. The place is air condition too and being up there on the 7th floor walking down was a bit scary but fun. You should pay a visit because it's super worth it.

Just like any attraction from other places, its good for one visit then you repeat it years later. Unless, you really have to visit it once again.

We end up like 6pm and we have a choice of going back to Nikka's place or just go straight to Bugis for some pasalubong. I suggest that we go to Bugis so our bags will be packed before leaving for KL by midnight than being at Bugis early for our midnight trip with all our bags and buying pasalubong, that will be too hassle.

~~

Yes, we travelled from SG to KL that night.

Why KL, when I was checking flight from SG-MNL the tickets was so expensive for the 23rd probably because it's holiday season if it will not be Christmas we probably going home on the 25th. I read somewhere or Gem mentioned that we can transfer to KL and when I checked the KL-MNL trip, it was half the price of SG-MNL that's one reason why we transfer to KL.

I also made a swear to myself that if I will be out of the country for the first time, I don't want to go to HK or SG because mainstream. I ate it up by going to SG for my first out of the country trip but I'm happy that we were able to do SG-KL because that's purely different from the mainstream people. Haha. Most of them didn't know that we will transfer that all along they knew that we're still in SG for 5 days. Lol

Singapore 2016. Day 2

December 20 2016

Tired with the last minute to-do the day before leaving, the flight and the warm up walk for the whole week that we woke up a little bit late for Universal but then with a very nice train transportation, we are just in time.

Universal Studios Singapore is our planned for Tuesday and we were able to enjoy it because it didn't rain it was super duper hot. It's the first time in my life to feel my sweat dripping all over the place while roaming around and it's not a joke. I didn't experience that when we were in Enchanted Kingdom. Our weather here is still bearable I couldn't take the humidity in there.

We lined up for most rides from probably 15min to 55min. Yep we payed to lineup. There's like an express line but Nikka said you have to add up S$80 for that ticket. Lining up is not that bad if you have good company.

We started with Spaghetti Space Chase because we wanted some air conditioning but we we're tricked with the long line inside that's not visible on the outside; Galactica where we probably lined up for 45-55 min and I lost my soul in there but the twist and turn was very smooth unlike the Space Shuttle in EK; The Mummy where Nikka said it wasn't that extreme like Galactica but shitness is real I didn't expect it will be like that; Transformers, where I wanted to scream at Bumblebee. I was just in awe and wanted to own Bumblebee. We ate late lunch then the last was Shrek and we didn't repeat any rides or tried Cyclone because I believe that I already hit the max of my extreme self. Haha. I'm willing to wait for them if they still want to ride some more but we just roam around at the souvenir shops after.

When we went back to VivoCity after USS, we decided to get tickets already for tomorrow's plan which is S.E.A. Aquarium (this will continue on Day 3).

We went to Lucky Plaza to eat and exchange money and I tried one of the food that I forgot what it's called but it like Ramen with fried liempo in it and it's so yummy.

Friendly advice: if we travel to somewhere new, it means we want to try something new and comfort food is a big NO.

After dinner we went to Gardens by the Bay we were late on trying to go on its bridge but we just enjoyed and walked around. I didn't really appreciate the decorated lights in there because I think it's overlapping each other at some point.

We once again went home I think that was before midnight since it will be another jam packed for the next day.

Singapore 2016 . Day 1

December 19 2016

Delayed flights are okay as long as it is within the same day rather than losing a day unless it really needs to be cancelled because of bad weather.

This one week trip was originally planned early 2016 and now it's over. Time to look back and I'll try to remember everything so I will not miss a single thing.

Supposed to be leaving by 1340 but because of delay we left at almost 1530. It was a smooth flight because it wasn't raining even though there was a typhoon inside PAR.

Since we will arrive just in time for dinner, I don't want to waste any minute so I told Nikka that when we arrive we can go straight to dinner and maybe go around the city already so time will not be wasted.

Transportation was mostly the MRT and a handful bus trip and few Grab/Uber. Nikka borrowed some MRT cards from friends and load up before we get there so we save minutes from that. I really think that I asked for the card that I used but then I can't find it so maybe I gave it back.

When we arrived there are rain showers when we got to Makansutra, it stopped and we were able to walk around Marina Bay and saw the Merlion up close then after it rained again. It was the sign to book a Grab and go to Nikka's place.

It was a long day but good thing we were able to go around. We planned to go back on daytime but everything is on proper schedule already so if we can squeeze it in we will but we didn't.

That's what we accomplished for our first night even we got delayed. I'm satisfied with it because that was our original plan.

To be honest, it doesn't feel that we're outside the Philippines it just feel like we were in Makati. Yes maybe if you will shop for high-end brands it's a good place to be and maybe for a little escape.
