Road Trip . Batangas / Tagaytay

Keith + Aivrin, Gem, Lhea = Brobabes

Yikes!

How will I start this? Aaaahhhhhhh

So a week before this trip, we were at Don Day because Lhea was here in Manila for a few days before she goes back to Palawan and Keith brought his car that day and we are talking about why Lhea is here in Manila and knowing her, for sure there are so many scheduled on meeting her friends.

The week seems too long before the weekend and we are keeping each other updated but mostly we are waiting for the decision of Keith because the original plan was Tagaytay/Batangas and its on the opposite way to Laguna, we said that its okay if we just go to Laguna. Since the babes are already ready, we were just waiting for the decision of Keith so we know what to bring and because we also need his car for this trip.

You wouldn't believe this but it was Thursday and we are still waiting for the answer and we are already asking him through our facebook group chat and he said "you will know, tomorrow" okay. Friday, we are waiting and its almost 9PM and still no answer and Keith said, "you will know, tomorrow" which was Saturday and we were supposed to know so Lhea and I will be able to prepare our things. I already said to the babes that if our road trip plan will not push through we can just meet for dinner. It was about 3PM when Keith said "okay we're going, what's your plan?" and I called him and told our plan he said "okay!" (In Keith's language "okay! Sige! Text text na lang) and I already inform the babes/chikababes.

Gem and I met at 7PM and we waited for Keith and Lhea until past 11PM. Gem and I regret of killing some hours doing nothing while waiting :/

Our plan was to stay at Gem's place then we can hit the road by 5 or 6 in the morning. We left Gem's place by 7AM. Haha.

Originally, we are just going to Matabungkay but Gem said the place is not nice anymore so we search for some beach on the area of Batangas and we found another one in Bauan near Batangas Port. Unfortunately, due to the typhoon (according to the one Lhea talked to when we are already near the place) the Coast Guard ordered them not to let their guests to swim or use the boat because of the current. That was our Plan A, Plan B was to check another resort in the area but we thought if the Coast Guard ordered one resort then every resort should know that. We end up on the original plan and became our Plan C, we went to Tagaytay. Though the weather was pretty nice that day and we didn't experience rain.

It was a long ride and I don't want to pissed off Keith because I know how sensitive some drivers are and he was so quiet the whole trip going to Tagaytay so we stayed quiet for a while. Its a bit weird when you don't know where are you headed but at the same point, you just want to have fun with your company or maybe if you're alone, listen to some good music.

We arrived in Tagaytay just before lunch and I told them we can eat at Bulalo Point but they want to eat at Leslie's. The service at Leslie's are disappointing most especially if its a weekend or a holiday when there's a waiting list before you can get a table then the serving of food is another story as well as asking for a refill of water but thankful for a nice restroom.

After lunch, we drove to picnic grove because we want to spend more time with each other and its still early to go back to Manila. We killed some time at picnic grove looking at families, kids who are enjoying flying kites and watching people throws 400 pesos for a short but high enough for a zip-line.

We always talk whatever things and I honestly forgot what were the topic when we are on picnic grove. Oh wait, we took a nap that's why we didn't have a conversation. Haha. Then I woke up when Keith texted me asking where are we because he was busy playing and charging his phone. I asked him to buy water and he even bought a pink cotton candy and then when we reached our table he said "open the popcorn" and we're like "huh? Popcorn?"  He just called a cotton candy a popcorn. Haha.

~

Then it was time to leave. It was a bit traffic on our way to Sta. Rosa but good thing it was just at the fruit stands because we are almost running out of gas. On our way to Eton exit, we passed by at the Nike Factory Outlet and some part of us are sad on just passing by the store but at least I/we didn't bought anything although I can feel that there's an FEU jacket there that's half the price. Next time.

We were on SLEX when Keith said "wait I'll make a stop over I need to attack". I thought it was some code for restroom but NO, HE WAS TELLING US THAT HE NEED TO PLAY COC! Haha.

We roam around the place and we found a mini version of a Nike Factory Outlet but nothing interesting there. Then we started to complain that he should play when we are still on the area of the Nike Factory Outlet so we can check it. I just make a trip to the restroom and change my shirt (and suddenly, I remember Sam and Vail when they travel).

After the COC break of Keith, we're back on the road and I was silently appreciating the beautiful sunset sky while they sing-along to California King Bed. After that, I asked them if they want some Eraserheads.

We're already in Manila when someone was calling Keith and he was a bit upset because he don't want to bring a car on their outing the next day and after talking on the phone, he confess that some of his co-workers are teasing him with this girl and the Babes became over protective. ;)

Sorry Keith. Haha. He told us the story that the girl liked him but she have a boyfriend and sorry girl, bro was so honest to us that he doesn't like you. We thought that his co-workers are so into this set up where the girl will be riding with Keith alone and blah blah and we are so game to leave something girl stuff so the girl will have a hint. I'm so game to leave one of my lipstick and Gem is already planning on leaving her two-piece-swimwear. Haha So far, we haven't heard how was the outing but we told him that the chikababes are just a text away if he needs an emergency call. Haha.

It was bitter sweet that we are already on Shaw when we are having this kind of conversation. Imagine we've been on the road for almost 12 hours and we are about to separate ways when a nice topic came out. The chikababes are complaining but we know that it was always like that.

Gem's place was in Paranaque but she decided (or it was Keith) haha that she should still come to us because she will miss something and yes, if we dropped her at Bicutan she will never know about the girl.

We are already near Cubao when we said we are hungry and I think I was the one who ask "let's have dinner?" and everyone was still game but first things first, Keith need some alone time at their restroom. After their place, we just walked to Araneta and look for a place to have dinner and as usual, we started at KFC but it was full, next stop was BonChon but it was also full, we passed by Army Navy with so many vacant tables but Keith doesn't like there and he was starting to suggest Seafood Island! Haha but we settled at Wendy's. Some usual stuff that we do after watching a game, walk around while looking for a place to eat.

Just a mini story, (I'm not sure if I already wrote this before but whatever) after watching a game in MOA Arena we are looking for a place to eat and if you're familiar with MOA, BonChon was just in front but someone will say "BonChon again?" Then we will look for another place and until we reached the sea side of MOA then we just went back in front and we end up eating at BonChon. It never get old. :D

Anyway, so we ended our first non-basketball-related stuff over dinner just like the usual. So much love for the three of them and I know all of us had fun though some original plans were busted we were thankful that we had a safe trip.

We are still convincing Keith for a Palawan trip since he haven't been to El Nido and I still need an island hopping but he was scheduled for leave at work to visit his sister in Thailand and I think he doesn't have more leave left. Next time.

Wow. I never had a long post for a while. I just really want to say even the smallest detail because it was such a memorable trip and it made my heart so happy. I don't think anyone will listen to this kind of story but if you are reading this until this last paragraph, thank you! Hopefully, we will be able to do this again this year with a concrete plan.

Still, our schedules will be as flexible as possible when it comes to FEU games (UAAP). More Araneta games than MOA please!

Ps. I put my GoPro on video mode when we're on the road and the conversations are insane! The reason why I can't move on from this trip but I'm slowly moving on. Haha. I'll try to edit a video soon.

pps. here's the video. Enjoy!
