Packing for a weekend stay in the city is so harder than packing for a week of out of town.

Weekend at QC ends today but one more movie!

Can't stop playing Remembering Sunday then it led me to Cassadee Pope because wether you agree or not, ATL’s version of Remembering Sunday is always better with Cassadee. 

Back to reality but somehow I'm still on concert high. Miss them already and knowing that we are so lucky because in Singapore they just lasted 30 minutes due to Alex’s food poising situation.

Book . The Courage To Be Disliked

 

I never thought I’ll be able to finish this book because to be honest I did struggle finishing this. Mostly I’m kinda bored with the dialogue set up of the book that sometimes I can’t get what are we really talking about in here. 

Maybe it’s just me. I started reading this after my last book (Some People Need Killing) and to be honest it is hard to top that for a moment because it was a very interesting topic.

Since this is a psychology book I thought that I’ll be interested 100% of the time but no. If you are willing ti understand Adler more then you might want to consider this book. 

Luckily on my flight during the vacation I had I was able to read more because there’s nothing to see at a night flight. Lol 

This is a good book as long as you have a 100% attention to it because to be honest I got so many distractions the past months. 

I learned from this book no matter how I think it made me bored. 

Gave it 4 stars on Goodreads.

ALL TIME LOW FOREVER IN MANILA 2024

 

When this was announced, I knew I have to be there since I already missed the 2022 concert because it didn’t fit my schedule that time and I can’t afford to go on both Billie Eilish and All Time Low because Billie Eilish happened on a Saturday and All Time Low on Monday. I prioritized Billie Eilish that time since I’ve seen All Time Low couple of times already. Good thing too that I didn’t have ticket for the All Time Low since after Billie Eilish I got sick not COVID but I blame it to the hassle of commuting to MOA and back to hometown and also the weather. 

I don’t want to miss them this time even without a meet and greet I just want to be there and luckily it will be on Araneta too the same venue for their first ever concert here in Manila back in 2011. 

Unlike my preparedness from previous concert, this time I didn’t search on setlist maybe because we are the only 3rd stop in Southeast Asia that there are no leaked setlist not until they played in Kuala Lumpur early that week. The only preparedness I did was played their whole discography that week without expecting anything too. 

Few days before I also played Straight to DVD ii and every single time I played All Time Low, I always end up playing Remembering Sunday countless times. Of course on the Straight to DVD ii it was Cassadee Pope who sang Remembering Sunday and it’s honestly my favorite. Ever since 2011 when I first saw them and ever before that I wanted Cassadee to sing that bridge on Remembering Sunday. 

I was busy days before the concert and since it will be in Araneta I asked Gem if she wants to stay that weekend at QC so we can hang that weekend. 

We meet early and had late lunch then did grocery for the weekend. 

I headed to Araneta by 7PM already straight inside because it will start in a few minutes. As usual I’m alone in this but I know that some of my friends are on different section of the venue. I’ve been watching concerts alone since forever anyways. Lol I always tried to be on side so it will be closer to the stage but since I heard Jim’s advice to try the section behind the sound tech booth I decided to get the section right in front of the stage but not on the pit. I don’t have much energy for the pit and I don’t want to gamble with my height. Haha 

Got to the venue asked the security on where’s my seat so I will not have problems to be on the wrong one. I was seated between dudes the one on my left are two people that are together and the one on my right probably was alone too. I’m not good on having conversation even we are there for one reason only. I went there for the boys and not for anybody else though its okay if you tried to talk to me just don’t be an asshole. Haha 

They started at exactly at 8PM and just right when they started I stand up and never again sit. While all the dudes on my section are all seated for most of the show and I’m like WHAT THE FUCK. Hahaha They did stand for some popular ones but mostly they are seated like watching a fucking movie. Haha - I don’t want to be judged as I said that but my apologies if you can’t stand for so long but WHY for all people who can stand. Why pay for such amount of money and just sit there. Lol you can get the cheaper ticket if that’s the case. Sorry but not really. 

Back to the show - I honestly don’t memorize song title but I usually know the lyrics but sometimes, I also get the wrong words too! 

While listening to Straight to DVD ii and checking the setlist in Kuala Lumpur some songs didn’t change I’m not sure with the other previous concerts but All Time Low got so many songs that I wish they changed some of it for the live since it’s been a while. Don’t get me wrong I love all of it but somehow they need to change it already. 

Overall it was a good night and for most concert I’m always looking forward to the slow songs or the acoustic and I knew that it will be “Missing You” and “Therapy”. I still have the video of “Therapy” from 2017 on my phone. I’m so ready for “Therapy” but then Alex said that it wasn’t planned to play this then started the intro of “Remembering Sunday” and I was like FUCK NO :(

I started to tear up just on the intro of it I don’t know why until now but maybe because I didn’t expected to hear that live once again. Mid song, my tears are on my cheeks and I have no one beside me. Huhu I’m not sure if the people beside me noticed that I had to wipe my tears. I uploaded on my Youtube Remembering Sunday from 2011 and I’m planning to upload again the one from 2024 if I got time. Lol 

That was the highlight of that night. 

Until now I don’t know why Somewhere in Neverland is a big hit. Everyone was chanting “Neverland” and Alex sang the chorus of it. 

After Remembering Sunday, I want everyone to chant “Therapy” but that will be too much for all of us but what if chant it after Remembering Sunday will there any chance for them to play it? It will be a treat if ever. They chant it though but not the perfect time for Alex to notice. 

I was already thinking that this will be the last time I will be seeing All Time Low but who am I kidding they do drop by once in a while why would I stop? 

Finally after so long, I think I do have an All Time Low tattoo idea already but still going back and forth between my choices. 

Hopefully next time I will still be able to meet them.

Bohol 2024 . April 4 (Day 4)

Our flight back to Manila will be 4PM meaning we can go to the airport by 2PM.

During our drive on our Countryside tour to Chocolate Hills (day 2), we passed by a sign about whale shark and since I'm seated on the passenger side the driver, Rey mentioned it that they also have a whale shark watching and I'm so surprised. On this trip even when we are still in Palawan we came to a conversation on why they chose Palawan and what are the option that they have during planning this trip. They mentioned Cebu and since my sister went there already they tell what they did there like the canyoneering but they haven’t done the whale shark since you have to drive 4 hours to get to Oslob and for them driving that long is waste of time and I also thought that. I do plan to do that if ever we go to Cebu but that long drive? I'm not so sure. 

So when I realized that you can do it in Bohol, I'm already interested on it. I asked about the price, the time but I'm so worried because our days are already packed and the only window was early morning of our last day. Rey answered my question about the price, time and would you ever believe that the time for whale shark watching is just in the morning. I want to celebrate already because for sure they want to do it knowing that it will fit our schedule for our last day though there’s another catch, sometimes he said that there are no whale shark. Yikes. 

So right when they woke up from nap, I told them about the whale shark watching and I was so right that they are so game to do it. 

Right after we were dropped off on out first day of tour, I made sure that we are going to do the whale shark so Rey can already put us on his schedule.

Days later here we are driving to the whale shark watching. Yay! 

I think we headed to Jollibee that morning so we can have breakfast on the go. From Alona beach I think it was an hour drive to the whale shark watching. 

I'm so excited and nervous to do this. 

When we get there, we paid fees and we went to briefing where they will remind you about stuff, you can also rent fins and of course, GoPro. We rented GoPro because it is a must and they will give you the SD card after too. 

Again here we go to the praise that our guide is good on taking photos and videos but dang same as before, they do stop it right before a good one. Smh 

Anyways, the whale shark watching is so near too that you can honestly swim and not take a tiny boat again but of course they can't risk batch of people to swim to the area.

We paddled to the area and we already saw one following a kayak that was feeding it. The whale sharks in there are not as big yet but wow. 

I can't wait to jump with fins and all because I don't want to be sea sick in here because the waves are crazy. 

OMG it was so pretty and huge! Huhu my heart is so happy. 

Once you are out there I believe you are allowed for 1 hour and that was one of the best 1 hour of my life. 

At first I let them have the GoPro so they can film the aunties and while they take care of the aunties, we swim away to see the other whale sharks. There are 3 in total by that time, one was following the kayak feeding it and 2 on the feeding area. I was somehow with Jen the whole time and we checked the feeding area and just taking in all the view and right in there too there was another one beneath us. Since we both did the scuba lesson we can now communicate underwater. Lol 

Thankful that with all the snorkeling we did at least during whale shark watching, I got a working snorkel because from Palawan to Bohol I always get a faulty one. Made me think to buy my own snorkeling set. 

If you search about whale shark watching in Cebu or even in Bohol you will just pretty much see the same thing but it is really different if you see it in person and just really enjoy it. Realizing that these creatures exist with us in this lifetime is crazy and to see them on the open sea is crazier. Mind blown. I just enjoyed every minute of is and of course before our times up, we have to have a good group picture / video since the aunties are done with it already and I'm not sure of they got a good photo with a whale shark because that one time that they supposed to have a good shot, I was blocking them. Haha I just realized while watching the videos that was taken. 

Mind blown and speechless. It was a pretty sight. 

On our way back to our villa we asked Rey any recommendation on where to eat lunch and he brought us to Susan’s Kilawin and I think it is a popular place for local and tourists too and since we get there before lunch time, we are the only customers. 

Right after our early lunch we headed back to our villa to clean up and pack. 

It was a little hard to pack because I bought some banana chips and I don’t have a check in baggage this time but since I’m a good packer all the souvenirs fit on my 2 bags. Yay. 

We checked out before 1PM and headed to the airport. Our flight is at 4PM so we just waited there and had some light snack. 

And that ends our Bohol trip which I believe we all fell in love with the place and we thinks that we can still do more.

I personally don’t mind going back because I still want to try scuba diving again and to be honest I’m so interested to learn free diving. I haven’t swim for so long and these trips with all the open water I want to swim again. Maybe begin with the pool then finally head back to the ocean. One day. 

We met family for dinner when we get back in Manila since my aunts and cousin will be flying back to Canada the next day. 

Thank you to the aunties for this trip and fortunately my cousin and her husband enjoyed it too and they are considering going back and that makes my aunt happy. Till next time!
