On Repeat . Head Above Water (Album)

Head Above Water by Avril Lavigne

You can never go wrong on an Avril album.

She's been through a lot and this album is a result of her battle the past years and it got a lot of feels.

Meaning behind every song is down below.

I loved being able to write a song with my best friend @RyanCabrera. We had such an amazing time! Tell Me It’s Over is an anthem about being strong and finally putting your foot down and closing the door on a relationship that you know is wrong after time and time again of falling for their games. If someone doesn’t treat you the way you deserve to be treated, don’t put up with it. It’s understandably so hard because in the past every time you saw them, they sucked you in and you fell right back into their web. The vocals and the lyrics are very vulnerable which is reflective of the feelings I got in relationships like these. I wanted to write something classic. I have been inspired by some of the timeless queens I listen to everyday at home, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Etta James. They represent women who stand up for women and aren’t going to put up with a man’s bullshit anymore!! #TellMeItsOver #TMIO @MelissaBelMusic @IAmJustinGray Pre-order #HeadAboveWater Link in bio

The concept and idea for #DumbBlonde came to me through a situation I experienced and I brought it to @BonnieMcKee and #MitchAllan, who helped me bring it to life. I had this fucking loser in my life who was threatened by my strength, confidence and independence as a woman. I was belittled and made to feel bad for who I was: A leader, someone with a vision and opinions, someone who has strength, desire, passion and goals. Never let anyone put you down for being who you are. Stand up. Fight. Be you. Love. Be genuine. Kind. Find yourself and own it. Fuck stereotypes. If you’re a strong person and your partner can’t handle you, go find someone who has enough self-confidence and can support you and lift you up and inspire you in your life. As an equal. A friend. Not someone who needs to take you down to make themselves feel better because of their low self-esteem. Yes, women should build each other up, but so should men and women. On Repeat . stages

stages by Cassadee Pope

Knowing Cassadee way back from Hey Monday days, it was amazing to see where she is right now. Even it was years ago ever since I saw her randomly on Tumblr and decided to listen to Hey Monday, I'm still amazed the way she sing mostly her live ones. Give her a try if you are looking for a new album to listen to.

She never disappoints.

This album makes me wonder about her past relationship but she got some co-writer on most songs and she clearly moved on from the past and I'm just happy for her. I also can't believe that her current genre now is Country.

Can't pick a favorite but One More Red Light is lit. ;)

Music and Tattoo

I spent a week at a Starbucks nearby just to collect stickers  for a friend.

That's enough time for some barista to recognize me.

The day before I completed the stickers, one of them asked me about my tattoos then he recognized the logo of Twenty One Pilots. Got my order then leave saying bye nicely.

The next day he saw me again and I can tell that he couldn't help it but to ask why I got a Twenty One Pilots tattoo. He was asking if I listen to them and then asked me about my favorite album and I just said that I like all of them forgetting the albums at all. He was asking if Vessel was my fave and I said that it's the album before that. Until I got my orders and then leave again nicely.

-

It was a first for someone to recognize the logo and compliment about it later. I'm amazed but I will not get a tattoo just because I listen to a band. I have nearly 50gb of music on my phone and I will not get them tattooed on me for no reason.

Why Twenty One Pilots?

Twenty One Pilots was there for me when I hyperventilate. The past couple of years had been very though and there are times that I thought I will never get through it. I had very high anxiety and sometimes panic attacks. When I'm having those and can't think straight, for me to be able to calm myself, I memorize the rap part of their song, to be specific it was Car Radio at first then the rest is history.

Trench was released just months ago and until now, I can really relate to them and to some lyrics.

I think being close to the age of artists that I listen, there are a lot in common. Generally on what we experience at this age. It's a though time to survive, you know. Takes a lot of courage to get through a day what more to our own lifetime.

I honestly don't know how to react when people will start to recognize the logos but at least I know they're part of the few, the proud and the emotional.

Patiently waiting for that Bandito tour.

On Repeat . Take You Home

Take You Home by Cassadee Pope

I know I just met you
Been talking your ears off
But I wanna know everything
And I got all night long
Are you tryna be someone for someone?
'Cause you remind me of where I come from
So boy, I know it's kinda soon
But I'll tell you what I wanna do
I wanna take you home
And I ain't talkin' about a two mile ride back to my place
Oh, this ain’t the same old song about two hearts hooking up
One and done, on a Friday
No boy, I’m talking about a map-dot town, nobody knows
That'll tell you everything you need to know
About me and why I talk like I do and why I'm falling for you
And why I take it slow
I wanna take you home
Yeah, I wanna take you home
Daddy's gonna love you
He'll probably talk your ears off
Drive you by the little church
That saved me when I got lost
Take you down roads that I grew up on
Wish on those stars that I used to wish on
Kiss you on the bleachers on the 50-yard line
Boy, you know I
I wanna take you home
And I ain't talkin' about a two mile ride back to my place
Oh, this ain’t the same old song about two hearts hooking up
One and done, on a Friday
Naw boy, I’m talking about a map-dot town, nobody knows
That'll tell you everything you need to know
About me and why I talk like I do and why I'm fallin' for you
And why I take it slow
I wanna take you home
Yeah, I wanna take you home
Oh I ain’t trying to jump the gun
Sure ain’t trying to make you run
But the second I saw you, I knew I had to get you alone
I wanna take you home
And I ain't talkin' about a two mile ride back to my place
Oh, this ain’t the same old song about two hearts hooking up
One and done, on a Friday
Naw boy, I’m talking about a map-dot town, nobody knows
That'll tell you everything you need to know
About me and why I talk like I do and why I'm fallin' for you
And why I take it slow
I wanna take you home
Yeah, I wanna take you home
And tell you about me and why I talk like I do
And why I'm fallin' for you
And why I take it slow
I wanna take you home

Random . January 2019

Happy New Year.

Why is everyone fascinated about new year while I'm not. Feels like a normal day / week.

Little road trip with fam.

Done with everything.

Almost fell on the jeepney then almost hit by a car. What's with this day.

A day with my dude. :)

Something to look forward this year. :)

The last impulsive buy of 2018 just arrived. Why am I buying things just for self satisfaction and not really use it? None of those this year, please.

Dreamed of my friends that I haven't seen since August.

Free pamper day with Sissy and Dap.

Be nice is the motto today. You should too.

Free but will consume my time and my Sunday, okay.

Shrimp wanton. Yay!

Bus trip.

December was so fast then now it feels like time slowed down.

I just want to make it happen.

Why that dream is so vivid? Do we need to talk? #best

40 days. I miss you, Mama.

Weirdest dreams. Lol

I was talking about not having down time or reflection time but seems like I'm avoiding it because it's just too much.

I don't want to break down at this point of the year. It's too early.

When you're mind is playing tricks

If you can't commit then don't even start it.

The combination of long hair and airpods. Hehe

I can't keep tabs on everyone when I have my own to-do list. It's exhausting.

The result of patience. Thank you strangers and some concerned people. Hehe.

Feel so productive the past days. Hehe.

Slowly fading away from Instagram.

My version of quality over quantity.

Know what you are selling!

Get a guy who will tell you that it's okay to be kikay.

Cavite trip. Good thing I wake up for this eat-all-you-can day. Lol

I want to use this down time to write but I'm not feeling v good today.

I might not hit 5 posts this month but I'll still try.

The things I have to deal with when things didn't work out the way I plan it. So frustrating.

Geez. People should show up when they need to show up. Not just being accessories on normal days.

All of these frustration plus not feeling so good. Fck.

The ecosystem is complete!!!!

You think I don't know that? Lol I know everything.

Analyzing other people's lives, is entertainment to me.

Babes is back! Expect random dinner dates :)

On Repeat . Bloom

Am I late to it?

I listen to Rebel Hearts podcast and on episode 49 Sam reviewed Troy Sivan's Bloom and after that episode I tried to put it on the background and I can't stop listening to it.

Thank you, Dove.

I’ve been praised, admired, and bashed with my hair and seeing this TVC on national television, I’m so thankful.

Been dyeing my hair since late 2012 and never been on my full natural hair ever since. Tried different colors and for people who are not used to see my extreme hair change, they questioned my decision.

Being a music fan particularly Paramore, all around the world, its okay, its normal but for people who were living under a rock most of their lives, its a crazy, it’s crap.

I shifted every reason on why I dye my hair ever since that now its just a normal thing to me.

People say a lot of things about changing my look (the tattoos are different story but yeah.

It’s my hair, my say. :)

Totally not sponsored.
I just appreciate this big time.

On Repeat . One More Red Light

One More Red Light by Cassadee Pope

I got your jacket on

Hanging off my shoulder
Hose down that restaurant
'Cause the going out's supposed to be over
You go out of your way
To show me where you're working
I feel you hit the brakes, waiting on the green to turn yellow
Since we said hello, time's been flying

Don't wanna let go so let's find
One more red light

Let's keep it going
Take another lap around this town
Another slide over to your side
Stealing kisses, baby, I just wanna drag it out
Let's take the long way home
Nice and slow before we have to say goodnight
Let's find one more red light
Let's find one more red light
Who cares if we hold up a little bit of late night traffic?

If they flash their brights at us
Roll your window down, just wave 'em all around us
Baby, I'm down to take our time

Let's keep on driving till we find
One more red light

Let's keep it going
Take another lap around this town
Another slide over to your side
Stealing kisses, baby, I just wanna drag it out
Let's take the long way home
Nice and slow before we have to say goodnight
Let's find one more red light
Let's find one more red light
We could stop, lean on in

Thirty seconds of you lips
Until the lights turn back to green
Hands off the wheel, hold on to me
Hold on to me, yeah
One more red light

Let's keep it going
Take another lap around this town
Another slide over to your side
Stealing kisses, baby, I just wanna drag it out
Let's take the long way home
Nice and slow before we have to say goodnight
Baby, let's find one more red light
Let's find one more red light
Let's find one more red light
Oh, let's find one more red light
