UAAP S77 . 2nd Round : FEU vs UST

August 23, 2014

Since we've been watching UAAP for years now and pretty much my sister and cousins are in college now, they've been wanting to experience the live basketball action. Due to some Saturday classes, my cousins can't make it even I gave them advance date for the one that we are planning to watch. One time while I was watching on TV, I mentioned to my nephew that I will be watching on the upcoming Saturday and then he said he wanted to watch and I told him to ask permission to his parents. Since he insisted (his parents approved, btw), he came with me and it was fulfilling to see his reaction when he just first saw the arena and then when we got inside.

His exact reaction was, "Astig! Ang ganda pag sa TV kasi panget". Lol

As an avid watcher of basketball live, I still don't want to stop and I think I'm too far from that since it was somehow, my breather, my life saver, my escape to the bullshit of reality. Especially, now that I liking the idea of PBA and we are somehow supporting some players and teams.

It feels good to share the experience to other people most especially to my nephew who started to like basketball because of 2K14. Haha.

UAAP S75: Final Four

FEU might not be at the Final 4 but I think I know the reason (or at least I make a reason why). I didn't expect to see the final 4 without FEU right now but I respect every team, I just think that FEU wasn't there because it will be a major roller coaster ride.

My thoughts;

ATENEO- lookin for their 5peat championship, strong team, UE beat them (love that) lol. They have Greg, Kiefer, Salva, Juami ...

UST- FEU beat them twice but still they're doing great, they have Abdul, 2 Jeric, Aljon, Tata, Ferrer ... I think they'll be at the finals with Ateneo? Hmmm but La Salle is still fighting...

NU- UAAP season 75 host. Too many controversy, filed protest in the middle of 2nd round, UAAP Board's decision was in favor of them. They have Parks (the back to back MVP) and Mbe.

La Salle- still fighting. The Bear aka Norbert Torres is eating everyone! *scary*. And they have the Rookie of the Year (Jeron Teng!)

Games on Sat:

ADMU vs DLSU - since Ateneo always win, I'm always hoping for La Salle to beat them and I know when UE beat Ateneo it gives hope to the other team that they can also beat Ateneo. Buuuut Ateneo had 2 weeks to prepare for the semis!

UST vs NU - hmmm. UST had a "prayer vigil (?)" for NU to win that "rematch" between FEU but now, hello there, NU might just beat you twice!

Who to cheer for? I don't really know. Haha.

Saturday will be exciting, its somehow a relief that your team is already out (but it hurts you know) at least NO pressure on whoever wins or whatever. Haha!

If you don't agree then shut up.

FEU vs UST . 2nd Round

UAAP S75: FEU vs UST

This was the 2nd game on the opening day: Battle of Espanya and Morayta !!! UST players came out first and you can see them on the first photo and when FEU players went out they go straight to the center of the court and do their usual stuff before a big game.

Let the game begin!

This guy in front of us are wearing a shirt from Season 72 or 73 and good thing I have his picture . HAHAHA (I'll tell the story at the end of this post)

FINAL SCORE! FEU WON!

Spotted: Jerie Pingoy of FEU FERN in this photo (I only realized that when I was putting watermark/s :)

Gem and I before the game

The story behind the guy in front of us was this ... on the last 4minutes of the game it become intense since it was a close fight and we are all standing, shouting and jumping then that guy face us (we are at their back) almost reading fist bump with me or Gem and he suddenly turn around maybe because he realized that he don't know us at all. hahaha then when the game was over and UST didn't shoot at the their last chance and Terrence rebound the ball, we are jumping and shouting and he fist bump with us! HAHAHA the best feeling and its the best way to start a season for FEU (I will always remember the semis last year .. )

Watching a game live is always my stress reliever .. I hope the schedule of FEU's game for the 1st round will never be changed .... fingers crossed.
