UAAP S77 . Finals

Game 1 - MOA Arena - October 4, 2014

NU never won against FEU during the elimination so facing each other again is pretty interesting because after playing against ADMU and DLSU during the playoffs and semis, its time to adjust again.
We won. And we started to feel the 20th championship but maybe it was not our time yet.

Game 2 - Araneta - October 8, 2014

Being one step behind the championship, the players and us (fans/supporters) might be comfortable with the advantage. I bought tickets online and luckily I got patron tickets and it was 1:4. It was our first time to purchase a ticket more than 350 pesos. It may be the last game why not give it all right.

Our seats was the best seat but then we didn't win. NU bounced back so hard. They are so hungry for their 2nd championship after 60 years.

They won. Series was tied at 1-1. We broke a crowd record with 24,896 attendance that ball game alone where we beat the record of one of the San Mig semis/finals game earlier this year. It felt good because people said that this UAAP Finals will never get an audience. After that game, we are all looking for those who said that no one will watch it.

Hello to the former players!! It's so nice to see them supporting FEU.

Game 3 - Araneta - October 15, 2014

One week break. One week of hunting a patron seats again but the 1:1 ticket selling was the most insane thing ever. It was our first time to line up for a UAAP game for hours. I was pissed the whole time because of it but I was trying my best to hide it. I don't want to rant about it because I'm still looking forward to a positive outcome.

But the signs were there, I don't want to entertain it but everything are pointed that way. We knew NU will be the champions. Believe it or not we saw it coming and we are just waiting for it to happen. But that doesn't mean that I don't believe in our team. I was still holding on a thread until I heard the final buzzer.

No matter what happen we were already part of history. Both teams played 20 games this season, we won against DLSU and ADMU to be in the finals and both team were underdogs. We were there when NU won its 2nd championship after 60 years with 25,118 crowd (yes, we just broke our Game 2 crowd record)

It wasn't painful unlike 2011 finals but ever since Belo hit that buzzer beater last October 1st, we were so happy and we already accepted that our team can be champions or not.

So its so funny when most of the people around me were the one who were so angry or bitter to what happened. I shred a tear but that's it. We laugh so hard after the game and we did a mini party outside Araneta. It was a good game and I can't freaking wait for season 78. It was truly an unexpected season where you can't guess who will win in a specific game unlike before. Who would have thought that FEU and NU will be in the Finals and NU, of course grabbed their 2nd championship.

At the end of the day, its still a basketball game, one will win and the other will lose.

To the graduating players on every team, do what you know is best for you. Basketball doesn't stop here.

To the players who still have remaining playing years, it can be a year or two but please think about it gazillion times if you wanted to go pro. Some players regret not being able to maximize their playing year in the "best" basketball league in the country. Its still up to you because we are just here to at least give an advice.

You can't rewind time, you can't go back to this year after 10 years. Think wisely so you will never regret a single decision.

See you all again next season UAAP basketball fans. Oh wait there's Volleyball next month!

Oh its PBA time again!!!!! :)

UAAP S76 . 1st Round : FEU vs NU

After breaking FEU last year, NU was again defeated by the Tamaraws. In the pre-season, NU was a threat after reaching the Finals but unfortunately didn't get the back-to-back title. Last year, when NU filed a protest against the controversial layup of RR Garcia the Tams lost their good track. Looking forward this year, its a very nice 1st round though anything can still happen on the 2nd round but we are in strong faith that we will reach the Finals once again.

This was scheduled because Gem will be busy after this day and we might see each on the 2nd round and I'm happy that we pushed that day to happen. Together with the Team IN (Keith and Lhea) haha we watched this game full force and (drum roll please) we bought Patron tickets! I think this was Gem's first patron game. The 1st game was cool because it was UE vs ADMU where UE won because of Roi "Super" Sumang it was a good game though.

The main game was of course, FEU vs NU and it's 'The Revenge' because of what happen to us last year but now as we swept the 1st round, every team will be ready and well prepared for the 2nd round since there will be a UAAP break because of Fiba Asia. But daaaaang! The first day of 2nd round will be FEU vs NU! I'll be busy that day but I'm willing to fix everything if there will be a company available for that big game (but I think no one will be available)

NU was a big threat, from having the expectations from pre-season they also have the back-to-back MVP, Ray Ray Parks Jr.

before I flood you photos I think I mentioned that we bought Patron tickets but I missed to mention that we were seated next to the "special" row of MOA Arena introducing

I know the photos are a bit crowded, I just have a kit lens but hopefully a zoom lens soon.

Ooopps. I think I haven't mentioned the big thing happened that day, we were flashed on Philippine National Television! And here's a little video for our second exposure because our first appearance was 2 years ago

HAHAHA

After the game we hangout outside MOA Arena for a bit and finally decided to eat wherever but we are being followed by boy porque and his crew. Lol. A little shocked but it was fun. Haha.

before I end this post I just want to include our few photos from Lhea

we predicted 7-0 !!! Go figure! :D

We had an Italian dinner after. I miss you guys but see you again soon :)

somehow I'm pissed to myself that I didn't enjoy this day full time since I was pre-occupied of the recent fucked up days...... (Oooppsss I think I'm about to make a rant post soon)

go figure! hahaha! Thank you Sarah for taggingus on this photo. haha (c)

My Favorite Game !

Over due post!

October 11, 2012 will be one of my favorite basketball day, why? Oh my ... that was my FIRST TIME TO WITNESSED A TRIPLE OVERTIME LIVE! Never in the history of my "watched basketball live" I ever experienced to have a 3rd overtime, even when I was in high school I really never ever witnessed one until October 11, 2012 and it was a high school basketball game and it was memorable!

Maybe everyone now know the guy on the first photo (yes, it is Jerie "Koko" Pingoy) because of rumors on where he will be on his college but (I'm not concluding everything but this was just an opinion and maybe an observation too) I know or maybe I should say I think he will choose FEU instead of Ateneo. I started on hearing his name since last year when a friend (I think it was Gem) mentioned him and now he is being noticed by a lot more than last year. We asked him last year on his facebook page if ever he will continue to be with FEU and no hesitation he did say YES and now rumors is all around saying that he will sign up for Ateneo. Oh well, but whatever will be his decision I think I'll still support him but still I want him to choose FEU and it will be a great Season 76 for us (Romeo, Tolomia, Pingoy and RR tandem!!!!), but for now let us give him some time and let him graduate first on high school.

I was able to watch the first game of the Finals on TV where FEU won and a little bit of information, FEU and NU was also the one who competed on the championship last year and NU won, I think it went through game 3 so this finals is kind a bitter sweet revenge since some will graduate and on the side of FEU almost all of FEU Fern players will be graduating this school year and who knows on where will they head on their college but hopefully, I can still see them play on the UAAP. Goodluck guys and Congrats for this game! It was an entertaining game! and I remember how Koko said "Atin 'to" (meaning they got this game) to a co-player.

Look for Mike Tolomia :p

It feels like I'm watching a PBA game when they hit 100

I shouldn't upload this photo but ... oh gosh I was looking for Terrence the whole game since I already spotted Mike and Russel and awarding will be after this game and I knew he will be there and then I saw a photo online that he was seated on the other side of the court with Pogoy ... when I'm browsing the photos on my camera I spotted them! Arrgghhhh

I think if Atangan (NU player) wasn't fouled out this game will push to a 4th overtime, because he was fouled out in the middle of 3rd OT.

Congrats Baby Tams! :)

--  The game almost ended at 2pm after a triple overtime and I wished we can stay for the awarding but it was also the Game 2 of ADMU vs UST... okay, one thing that I may regret that day was not having a picture with Jeron Teng and maybe Bobby Ray Parks! they was just seating on the court side where we passed when we are already being escorted by some security. I asked Keith if its okay if we watch the Game 2 of Ateneo and UST, he is okay with it but damn the tickets are SOOOO HARD TO GET. Luckily, Keith's house is near so we just went there and watched at the TV, though we tried to lined up for tickets.

Can't wait for next UAAP Season.
