Hello! I can't believe that this happened last 1st week of August and we are already in the last day of August! Wow.

August was so fast! It was a mix of ups and downs but nevertheless, 'ber' months in a few hours!

We went to Laguna last August 7, 2013 and that's when I bought the shoes from Liliw Laguna.

Real Techniques or EcoTools ?

I never mentioned it before but I think it was late June when I started to purchased a Real Techniques Travel Essentials. I really wanted to buy some good brushes that are not too expensive yet very convenient to use and worth every peso because I tried this ELF powder brush, its cheap but it doesn't do the job and I don't want to buy a MAC brushes and its a bit expensive for me. I saw the post of Carina about her Fiber Duo set and I got curious about it because I haven't heard about Real Techniques before. I searched on Youtube until I watched video reviews about RT brushes and of course the video tutorial of Samantha Chapman on how to use her brushes. Thank you to Carina for posting where she bought those brushes because I think I become a regular RT customer of Carefree Shopper. Hehe.

Right now I'm a little bit upset because I should've get the Core Collection to be followed by a Starter Set  instead of the Travel Essential but then going back to that day I just wanted an all around brushes and the Travel Essential was perfect because there is for eyes, foundation and blush (Domed Shadow, Essential Foundation and the Multi-task brush).

When I first got it, I was amazed. Its super soft and very easy to use. It distribute the products very well into the face. You might find vloggers said exaggerated reaction with these brushes, well you can't blame them because you really need to see these babies in person because just like perfume you can't smell it when you are just reading blogs and watching reviews about this. Go ahead and get some of this! 

Days go by and I'm getting more curious about the other brushes and I started to watch RT video review and I can't decide if I should get the Core Collection just because I want the Buffing Brush (hahaha) or not then I discover the Expert Face Brush. I ordered it 1st week of August and I'm just so lucky that when I decided to buy it, there's only 2 left.

and this is my number 1 favorite. You can use it on powder, blush and contour. It's an all around brush.

I wanted to give my sister some brushes too so I let her choose between the Real Techniques Starter Set or EcoTools Eye Essential Set since she is an eye person. She chose EcoTools Eye Essential Set.

A little sacrifice, I bought it first than my supposed to be next purchased of RT (Starter Set and Stippling Brush). Since there's no EcoTools on Carefree Shopper I ordered it at Kalm Cosmetics they have RT brushes too. I was thinking if I should order some ET too because I want to try it so I added the 5pcs Starter Set together with the Eye Essential Set. I want to get the Eye Essential Set for myself but I got doubts and I canceled it. I told myself that I'll see first how it looks like then I'll order again if I loved it but if not then I'll go with the RT Starter Set.

Good thing I cancelled that. I was monitoring the stocks of Carefree Shopper for the RT Starter Set and last week, we don't have internet for dayssss and I was worried that the last 3 stocks will be gone then we went to a mall and I abuse their wifi. Hehe. I check the site and daaang "Only 1 left" and I hit the "add on cart". Hahaha. And added the Stippling Brush I told myself that there are gazillion ways on how will I send the deposit slip even we don't have internet at least I got it. Luckily the next day the internet was fixed. Hehe

this arrived last Saturday and I'm loving these so far. See my RT brushes are getting big!

I hope you are enjoying this because we come to the end and what's matter most so here it is.

Review: based on my opinion.

As being honest as I am. I didn't like EcoTools. Yes its nature friendly but for me, its not good and the brushes are not soft. Even though I just have the RT Travel Essential, I know and I saw how it blend the eye shadow in my eyes and how it works with the blushes and concealer. I think I only like 2 out of the 6 brushes: the concealer (well, even this don't blend the concealer, I just use it for applying concealer then I'll use my essential foundation for blending) and the lash and brow groomer. The Eye shading brush doesn't blend or shade very well; the angled eyeliner brush is okay and the blush brush doesn't pick the color very well, it does but when you tap it the blush was gone too.  I have nothing against EcoTools but I think I will not re-purchase. I don't know how was the Eye Essential Set since my sister haven't used it but I'll ask her if its good when she started using it. Again, this was my opinion.

Get the Real Techniques!!! if you are a starter who wants to have her first brush set then my advice for you is to get the Travel Essential but if you can get Core Collection and Starter Set together then get it first than the Travel Essentials. The Fiber Duo is not necessary so forget it even though its limited edition. Real Techniques are so good because they do the work. 

Tips:

Yes, EcoTools is cheaper than Real Techniques but for me, it doesn't work nicely.

If you're not professional like me and you want to invest on a good quality brushes then get some  Real Techniques. I prefer their set like if you're an eye person then get the Starter Set (recently, I've seen Starter Set 2.0 without the accent brush and I don't know what's the idea behind it), if you're a foundation type then get the Core Collection (there's also a Core Collection 2.0 and they remove the detailer brush on that set) if you are on a tight budget you can get Travel Essential where it covers everything you need. But I highly recommend Expert Face Brush and the Stippling.

FYI, I'm a Girl . Steal

Last August 7, 2013 we went to Liliw Laguna!!! My  last visit there was gazillion years ago. I can't remember actually hehe maybe 7-10 years ago. If I'm not mistaken Liliw Laguna is the Slippers Capital of the Philippines while Marikina was the Shoe Capital.

I was on a tight budget so I make sure that it's okay if I don't buy anything but I'm considering of buying a pair of nice slippers or a shoe if ever I saw one and giving some consideration since it's not always you can go there not to mention is a 2 hour drive without traffic from our place and I deactivated my shoe-banned that day. hehe

Luckily, after roaming on every store I decided to get this mini-wedge because, you will not find something like this on department stores and if you saw on then it will be a little expensive.

It's simple yet I like it. hehe I got this pair for 250PHP. Can you believe that?! That's why I consider this a STEAL! 

I'm size 7 but the size 7 was a little small than the usual so I got the size 8.

Have you ever been lost in your dream? When you want to go back in the current situation after your alarm started to wake you up? Or just when you want that dream to happen in reality?

Most of the time, I do.

It's a little sad that I just got to interact with my ex-best friend on my dream when he was just a few streets away.

But the good side about my dreams are my dad and papa. I terribly miss them and maybe that's one reason why I see them on my dreams.

It doesn't happen always but when it happened I just want to go back there in dreamland where I can still talk to them and hug them.

They said dreams are the total opposite of reality but what if they told some serious things, do they mean the opposite? Maybe it is, maybe its not.

There are scientific explanation of dreams but do you want to know it? I guess not if you want what you see or what is happening in dreamland.

Someone said that dreams are meaningful (Angela | Bones S6). But I don't know in what way.

July 17- too many memories. I think I wasn't able to mention on every social networking sites of mine that my 2nd tattoo was already a year old that day. July 17 started to be special to me since 2006. Best friend issue but I treasured those. I fucking miss that guy. The guy that I met 8 years ago.

Road Trip . Fluffy Clouds

I  soooo love road trips most especially if I’m seated in front. *perfect road trip song* (I can't think of one but maybe I'll go with... Fast In My Car by Paramore)

I've been with road tripping with the seniors lately but specifically I'm in-charge on my grandma (grand-daughter duties). I don't complain because (1) I know I need those chapter break from reality once in a while; (2) I got to spend time with family at some point; (3) Perks of being a college graduate (because when my cousins where here back when I was in college, I can't go with them every single time because of school); (4) Mostly, I'm seated in front to see the beautiful scenery and the fluffy clouds; and lastly, (5) I love road trips.

I don't drive yet that's why I do enjoy seating in front to stare at those beautiful clouds, take picture of the open road, watch some people to do their thing and the duty of seating in front, to know where are some important places to remember. I think if we are in the US we can travel from one state to another (I will love that).

Reminiscing is one of my favorite thing to do during road trips. I remembered my dad when we passed Teresa, Rizal.

**chapter break**

I can't remove my wide smile when I realized that Angono and Morong was so far from each other and from Morong-Antipolo-Taytay-Angono is one long drive.

Thanks heaven because it wasn't raining when we passed by at the rice fields to see the mountains and fluffy clouds. I think I can't stop thinking about the fluffy clouds. When we go around Batangas last month I captured almost a hundred photos of clouds. I think capturing those fluffy clouds don't give justice on how beautiful it is that day.

Last, August 7 we went to Liliw Laguna and I can't think of the last time I was there same with Paete (wait I think it was 7-10 years ago...) Arrgghhh. I miss Papa! :(

If we don't have any destination, we go to Tagaytay. One of my favorite place. (I still ask Josh on when we will go to Starbucks Tagaytay because their place is awesome.)

If you visited Tagaytay, be sure to eat at Leslie's and order their Bulalo. And passed by Rowena's to take home some Sylvannas. Hehe. 

Last July 5, 2013 as I mentioned that we go around Batangas and I'll post a bunch of captured fluffy clouds from that trip since I haven't transferred the photos from our Laguna trip. Enjoy :))

Hair Dye-ary . Wonder Girl

Finally! After a long hiatus of my hair dye-ary series its back and the good news is my hair is different now than the past 3 or 4 months.

this was the last decent picture of my long hair. Though some say that my faded blue-violet hair is nice I'm having a love and hate relationship with it. And after living with my faded hair for so long I ended our love and hate relationship.

hola! I'm a little upset for the last few weeks and I finally found time to have a haircut and I love how it was right after but I was a bit upset after (take note of the difference between 'a little' and 'a bit' lol) because I think I wasn't comfortable on having just plain black hair and I have this little ground breaker that I should have a colored hair until the next year of hair dye day 1 (I don't know if I made myself clear on that. Lol) and for nearly a week of this kind of hair, I finally had time to dye it. 

Everytime I do a hair dye experiment I always get inspired from different people and I may do a separate post about my hair dye inspiration (I've been thinking about that for a while now... Next time)

So I  got this inspiration from The Voice S3 winner and singer of the band Hey Monday, Cassadee Pope.

I started to listen to Cass when she was still with Hey Monday. I'm not sure about the exact year but I rememeber that Beneath It All wasn't out that yet and the rest was history. (I know that she preferred to hiatus than disband for Hey Monday and I respect that but somehow I miss them)

Going back to the real purpose of this post, I like how Cassadee's hair is making a scene at some point together with her tattoo and since I still can't empty a full jar of Manic Panic or Punky Colour on my hair I just experiment some styles but I discovered some problems that I might encounter soon.

my dream hair!!! I'm happy that this was the result of my bleaching moment

So far no one yet is asking if I just put some clip ons but I'm ahead of those people who might ask so, No its not clip ons or extensions its attached to the roots. Lol

The problem that I realized is I will need some help to separate the colored once when I'll re-dye. It's not easy like the dip-dye since its in the inner part but I think that's just a little problem.

One more thing is, I think I like it or not how it's hidden inside. Anyways, I'm maintaining this style until I empty the jar of my Hot Hot Pink or maybe if it faded and since its still basketball season, I'll re-apply with my Electric Banana. I'm still undecided but those are my options and of course it will be in here. 

I think having plain black hair will never happen to me again as long as I do find time to dye my hair and just to be clear I don't have a problem with fading hair, we just have a love and hate relationship. Haha.
